Trip to Cragside

I am arranging a trip by coach to Cragside at Rothbury on Tuesday, 10th August (the day of the monthly meeting which, of course, is not held in August).  A sheet will be in the back room on which to put your name if you would like to go.  It is a Natonal Trust house and gardens.  The coach will be approximately £6.50, depending on numbers.  Entry is £13.90 for the house and garden and £9 for the gardens and estate.

Next Regional Meeting on 28 July

The next Regional Meeting is on Wednesday 28th July at the Angel View Inn, Gateshead, coffee from 9.45 for a 10.15am start.  Guest speakers are Barbara Lewis (from the NEC) and Mike Long (Ed & Dev Officer).  They are coming by special request following discussions on the future of U3As and The Third Age Trust at the May meeting.  Please let Sandy know if you wish to attend as numbers may be limited (regnewseditor@gmail.com or tel. 01325 384496)

Treasurers in particular are invited to meet Lin Jonas (Company Secretary of Third Age Trust) and Terry Hardie (National Treasurer). Places will be available to other members - details still to come.

U3A News Magazine

Copies of the latest issue of the U3A News magazine are available at the July monthly meeting. (Along with our own Newsletter)  If you are unable to attend perhaps a friend or member of your group could pick up a copy there. There are 4 copies of the News each year, in January, April, July and October and will be available at monthly meetings.
